Thank you for considering Baptist Health for donation of your volunteer time. We have multiple opportunities for you to share your time and compassion with our patients and guests.
The goal of our volunteers is to focus on improving what we call the “patient experience” – the way our patients and visitors are supported by the hospital for their medical care. Baptist Health volunteers are a valuable part of our team, they give loving attention to our patients during their time here.
Baptist Health is looking for volunteers that are:
- Friendly, open and reliable
- Compassionate and sensitive to persons and families facing a life threatening illness
- Able to understand and adapt to different cultural, racial, spiritual and intellectual needs of a client and family members
- 18 years of age and older

Caring Teen Program
Baptist Health-Fort Smith also offers a summer program for teen volunteers who wish to learn more about careers in the healthcare industry. This program is open to students who are:
- 14 to 17 years of age
- Able to volunteer a minimum of 96 hours, maximum of 112 hours
- Able to volunteer Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Caring Teen volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about careers in healthcare by serving in a variety of hospital departments, including but not limited to:
- Marketing & Communications
- Nursing Administration
- Nursing Floors
- Outpatient Surgery
